Packing List Template

Every time we travel, we tend to forget something. To avoid this eventuality, the simple thing to do is to have a Packing List. It can streamline the process of packing. No more running around helter-skelter, racking your brains over what to pack and what not to. With a Packing List, it is all made easy. Make a list of the things and keep the list close at hand so you can check off every item as it is packed.

Get all your important travel documents, cards, and cash in one place. Get a travel document organizer and put all your documents in it from your passport to your photo id, your tickets, and boarding pass. It should also have your visa(s), health insurance documents, reservations, etc. Note down your emergency contacts. Remember to carry a pen.

Carry a small backpack or daypack in which you can carry a few essential items that you may need on the flight. This will be your carry-on bag with your personal items in it. Pack an outfit in it and a few toiletries. It will come in handy if your luggage gets lost. If you plan to travel to more than one destination, remember to pack something warm so that you can be cozy on a flight, in a train, bus, or car. Make it light because you’ll have to carry it around.

Your mobile and charger should be in this bag. An iPad, if you have one, headphones, your camera, a travel pillow, a blanket, books and magazines, etc. Sanitary items like hand sanitizers and medicines should also go in your carry on pack. Your main, check-in luggage should be lightweight, versatile, and spacious so that it can hold all the essential items in your list. It should be easy to carry too.

Next thing is to get organized. Use packing cubes to organize your clothes into compartments. You can also use compressor cubes to reduce the size of your clothing. Remember to pack some basic things like toothbrush, lightweight clothes, sweaters, sleepwear, underwear, etc. Remember to pack comfortable walking shoes. Pack clothing depending on the places you visit. If you are visiting a cold country, carry winter clothes. If you are going to a beach, carry beachwear. Take everything but don’t over-pack. Pack smart. It is all possible with a smart Packing List.

Carry your own first aid kit. Take medicines for common colds, diarrhea, and the usual ailments. Remember to take your inhaler if you are an asthma patient, your insulin shot if you are a diabetic. Carry your prescription drugs in your carry-on bag, just in case. It is better to be safe than sorry. Also, take pictures of your travel documents and email them to yourself so that even if your luggage gets lost, you can access your documents. Most importantly, carry your laptop and laptop charger. You may want to get online while you’re on the trip. The laptop can be carried in your laptop bag with the charger and a power bank. All the above mentioned items can be on your Packing List while preparing for travel. Travel safe and enjoy!
